dspblok 21369+fpga --- ADSP-21369 and Cyclone III Module
Digital signal processing applications are one of the fastest growing areas in today’s electronics field. It’s not surprising that many different approaches can be used to address specific application requirements. DSPs and FPGAs are increasingly being combined to good effect in many very high performance signal processing targets. The dspblok 21369+fpga combines an Analog Devices ADSP-21369 SHARC 32/40 bit floating point DSP with an Altera Cyclone III FPGA to form a powerful signal processing embedded application module.
As a symbiotic pair, the SHARC DSP and Cyclone FPGA are
ideal for a variety of application areas including professional & consumer
audio, voice recognition and noise reduction, software based radios, military
applications, medical equipment, test instrumentation, communications products
and modems.
System integrators can use the dspstak 21369+fpga to expand on dspblok functionality by taking advantage of its power supplies, USB & RS-232 communications.
DSP Firmware and FPGA configuration files are uploaded via the USB interface. ICE versions are available for product development.
The dspstak a9238/48 is based on an Analog Devices' AD9238/48 A/D converter.
This 12/14 bit ADC can sample as high 40M/s in single channel mode or
25M/s in dual channel mode.
Since both channels are sampled
synchronously, the dspstak a9238/48 is ideal for direct conversion or IF
sampling receiver applications.
